The best choice for a modality is to let your trusted therapist choose and use a combination of modalities that fir your body type, pain level and need. I use a long list of modalities, but if you have no problems with lymphedema, you wouldn't want or need that modality as it would not be beneficial.
Massage therapy can be used successfully for may areas of need from PTSD to neuropathy, from frozen shoulder to shin splints; from migraines to general stress and fatigue. Massage therapy can not only help you relax better, help your muscles relax, remove muscle adhesions, but it can also make you sleep better, digest better, move better, think clearer and possibly live longer ( due to the above mentioned help.)
Let me help you get back to a younger, more relaxed version of your current self!

You do not have to be a Veteran to book an appointment, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for veterans and I do wish to give back to the veteran community. Growing up in the ‘60’s my mother was the only chiropractor in our small rural community. Most people did not know what chiropractic was back then, or even why my mom was working when other women stayed home. My mom taught me to do massage work for her patients and family members so that she could then easily manipulate the spine without the pain of having tight muscles, this was way before licensing of massage therapists. I was soon giving massage therapy to all of the family members and most of her patients! I can honestly say that I have been doing this all of my life! I also believe in learning and becoming even better than before. We can become better at whatever we already do well. Each year I am required by law to take 16 continuing educational units, I don’t pay too much attention to that though because for instance this year already I believe I have taken 75. I have now taken modalities I believe no one in Anchorage has taken or is authorized to use. I say that because the last one I could find in Anchorage to treat me retired last year! All of this simply means I have more ideas and options for making you feel better no matter your body type or pain threshold or how deep you prefer your massage to be because I insist on learning more. I also have a soft spot for dogs! I have worked with patients who have had seeing eye dogs and disability dogs present during their massage! What fun and helpful creature they are! I hope you will come and see me, use your insurance so you won’t even need to pay me (possible co-pay) and let me show you what I can do for you! Note: this is not a fairy tale and “happy endings” are not provided here.
